a.       Ensures the compliance of  the Agency’s activities with regulations and legislative acts and the proper performance of the tasks assigned to the Agency;

 

b.      Approves the regulations of the Agency’s departments; delegates the duties ascribed to job positions and sets the responsibility degree assigned to the deputy director, the chiefs of the departments and other subordinated institutions;

 

c.       Modifies and adjusts the central office staff, depending on the need of organizational model optimization, within the structure and personnel boundaries approved by the Government, and the labor remuneration fund framework;

 

d.      Appoints and dismisses the Agency’s employees; signs and cancels contracts with the chiefs of the Agency’s subordinate institutions; applies motivational or disciplinary actions, according to the law;

 

e.       Manages the elaboration of the Agency’s annual budget, and in case of necessity, involves directly with advice on the supplementary financial allocation for definite actions; controls the use of the budgetary assets according the destination;

 

f.       Issues orders concerning the Agency’s basic activity and checks their fulfillment;

 

g.      Proposes the nominal structure of the Agency’s board, organizes and presides the board’s meetings;

 

h.      Represents the Tourism Agency in its relationships with private and public legal entities;

 

i.        Represents the Agency in its relationships with individual and legal entities from inland and abroad; signs and cancels contracts and other legal acts, according to the assigned competency;

 

j.        Exercises other powers conferred by law.
